Troleu: Become the Worst Bus Conductor in the World 🚌

Troleu the indie game

Indie games with dodgy blocky polygon graphics are a glorious thing, such as the case of Troleu by solo developer andrground from Moldova. It’s a FPS where you’re a ticket conductor on a trolleybus.

Your job is to keep the bus journey running good and proper, taking care of tickets, and dispensing with any no good SOB customer types. It’s good fun, even if it all gets a bit repetitive fast.

Troleu’sΒ Chaotic World of Bus Conducting

The game is set around routine. You’re the trolleybus conductor and must keep everything shipshape, which includes checking bus passes and ensuring everyone has paid their fare.

Making sure all concerned are paying customers is a bit part of the experience, as you meet all sorts of oddballs on the bus (as you do in real life) and need to deal with the bastards who don’t pay. Some of these lunatics get a bit angry with you and will try to start a fight.

That’s when the rough and tumble element begins. You can forcibly remove the troublemakers from the vehicle in a manner that’s very aggressive indeed!

Lovely stuff? We guess so, here’s a bit of Troleu in action.

It’s an arcade type game, really, where you’d stuff quarters into the arcade unit back in the 1990s and keep on playing. Who doesn’t want to rough up some customers?! We hate the bus!

But this thing is on Steam, where it’s Β£8, where it launched in September 2025.

Is it any good? The thing about Troleu is you can view it as lowkey distraction escapism. It’s definitely not a great game, but it is good fun and funny. It’s short, too, with an hour or so of gameplay.

The biggest issue is the repetitive nature and general limited concept. Once you’ve kicked some kid off the bus or dragged a maniac onto the sidewalk, you’ve kind of reached the peak elements of the game.

However, whilst it lasts it’s a bit of mindless good fun and we enjoyed the original PlayStation style polygon graphics. Solid fun overall and more DLC may follow to make the game even more bustastic (a pun we realise doesn’t work very well).
