Lil Gator Game: Adorkable Adventure Romp Type Thing🐊

Lil Gator Game cosy scenery

Ermagherd! Lil Gator Game is a cutey. So cute, in fact, it may give you thoughts of extreme violence and/or vengeance (or just a nice happy feeling inside).

It’s styled in the wholesome type genre A Short Hike (2019) mastered.

The great news is Lil Gator Game hits similar peaks, using its influences in charming fashion as you explore a big island and make friends along the way.

Nods to Zelda in Lil Gator Game’s Super Charming Landscape of Colours

This launched in 2022 and is available on all consoles and PC. It’s by indie team MegaWobble and clearly takes a great deal of inspiration from Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series.

Not least with the use of a paraglider thing, which is a direct nod to Breath of the Wild (2017) and its ever-glorious gliding system.

Lil Gator Game is a casual exploration game.

The idea is to head off over a lush island, discover stuff, meet wacky characters, and generally lark about the place. Much like this!

Although the game is obviously quite friendly and welcoming for children, this is definitely one for all ages.

MegaWobble handles that side well, with the goofy character interactions maintaining a lighthearted sense of silly humour.

The bright colours will appeal to kids, of course, but this is just a relaxing game to dive into for anyone. You explore. You glide. You enjoy the cheerful music.

There’s about three hours of gameplay across this one. But there are lots of fancy gameplay touches we like, such as when Lil Gator dangles from a climbing frame.

More recently, MegaWobble added a speedrunning mode to the experience if you fancy completing it in super fast time.

That’s up to you. We will note this is more of a game to be savoured as you casually traverse the landscape and unlock its happy-go-lucky secrets.

It’s not a game where there’s a full-on challenge. It’s a game of delightful little moments that’ll make you feel happy inside. Then, if that appals you, head off to blow shizz up in CoD or whatnot.

But for what it is, Lil Gator Game delivers a lot. Bon!

Dispense with some gibberish!
