Lynn , the Girl Drawn on Puzzles is Artistic Huzzah ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

Lynn , the Girl Drawn on Puzzles

Here’s a stylish 2020 puzzle game by the indie team DOTORIS. It’s available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile, with players able to take control of the character Lynn and guide her through a maze.

Lynn , the Girl Drawn on Puzzles is a heavily artistic experience, leaning into Japanese influences for its striking black and white, occasionally colourful, journey. It’s good fun! You get to reveal dramatic paintings and keep your brain busy as you work through it all.

Escape the Mazes in Lynn , the Girl Drawn on Puzzles

The game is set in the distant past, with Lynn the young lady on a mission to find a nine-tailed fox and its secret diary. To reveal this story, you must complete the mazes.

Puzzles are set across 12 chapters and there are over 100 of these to get through. The idea is to manipulate your way around rooms, with the seeming ease of the puzzles increasing as you advance through the game. Behold how it works, eh!

So, yes, it takes its artistic efforts very seriously. That traditional Japanese art style with sweeping brush strokes is present, plus the pleasant soundtrack, with everything reminding us a little bit of the beautiful Tengami (2014).

It’s quite a short game, really, and more of a pick-up-and-play type of deal. We think it’s ideally suited to mobile gaming and will keep you busy during a commute, but its presence on Steam is welcome enough as it’s a relaxing and pretty game to look at.

But it is ideally suited to the user interface of a mobile, so if you’re going to get it… get it on your phone.

Also, we must note the curious comma use of Lynn , the Girl Drawn on Puzzles. Why is that comma there? Your average gamer isn’t going to bother spelling it like that. One dude in a Steam review called it out back in January 2021:

“Don’t you just hate this random space before a comma? Why is it there? It’s really bugging me.”

For whatever reason, in its infinite mysteries, the comma is there! Fun game overall, too, and a nice distraction.
