Game of Thrones: “Where are my dragons!?” Quote Off!

Game of Thrones logo

Everyone on planet Earth watched Game of Thrones. It was quite a popular TV show with much bloodshed, nudity, and political wrangling.

Plus, dragons! Three of them, to be precise, owned by Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) who takes a keen motherhood liking to the little blighters.

That led to some meme worthy moments regarding her screech of, “Where are my dragons!?” And we wanted to wordplay the bejeezus out of that line. Hurray!

Where are my dragons!?

Here’s the original in all its glory. For context, in this scene the lady with blonde hair is upset as she doesn’t know where her dragons are. It’s your standard scene from any sitcom involving a mother and motherhood.

Were are my dragons!?

Where are my dragons moment

Just one to annoy us grammar nerds of the world there.

We’re my dragons!?

A very large and menacing looking dragon

And another. Why not, eh!?

Where our my dragons!?

Where are my dragons moment

Final one here, just to gets these basic spelling error ones out of the way. 👍

Where are my wagons!?

A very large and menacing looking dragon

Wagons feature heavily throughout Game of Thrones and never really get the full credit they deserve. Without wagons, GOT simply doesn’t happen as a series. Respect the wagons!

Where are my heptagons!?

Where are my dragons moment

Everyone’s favourite vegetable, heptagons are delicious and nutritious and we eat them every day. Well done to Daenerys Targaryen for encouraging everyone to eat their greens.

Where are my tea wagons!?

A very large and menacing looking dragon

Indeed. We’d be demanding this, too! Us Brits can’t function without a few cups of tea before the morning is out. It must be the same for any fictional Queen of the Andals and the First Men.

Where are my estragons!?

Where are my dragons moment

Better known as tarragon, this is an extension of Targaryen’s obvious obsession with vegetables. Good on her! Go vegan.

Where is Estragon!?

A very large and menacing looking dragon

This is for all your Beckett and Waiting for Godot enthusiasts out there. Despite our desires for his inclusion, it’s unlikely Estragon will ever make an appearance in any Game of Thrones series (spin-off or otherwise).

Where are one’s dragons?

Where are my dragons moment

This is more in keeping with the lofty status as a monarch, no? Not enough “one”s in GOT, we feel. Better late than never!

Where are my Volkswagens!?

A very large and menacing looking dragon

We’d like to see a modernised version of GOT where everyone is driving around in clapped out old bangers. Queen Targaryen and her collection of Volkswagens would be an excellent addition to the series.

Where are my hamsters!?

Where are my dragons moment

This inclusion is just here as we’d like to see more hamsters in the series. Not gonna happen, sure, which is why you should read The Adventures of Fiddlesticks the Destroyer! It’s a tale finer than aged wine.

There are my dragons!

A very large and menacing looking dragon

In this much shorter version of Game of Thrones, Targaryen has no problem locating her dragons and the whole drama is over in but a few seconds.

And finally…

Where are my flagons?

Where are my dragons moment

This is the version of Game of Thrones where Daenerys Targaryen is a raging alcoholic. And her majesty needs her flagons for some grog first thing in the morning. Bring them to her, at once! Or she’ll incinerate the lot of you!

  1. The last one is the most realistic by far to real medieval monarchs, at least from what I’ve read of them (and a lot of them in GOT too, since George Martin clearly had those influences.)

I wish this show hadn’t ended like it did, but I’ll be content to keep waiting for those damn followup novels that we’ll never get.

      • Volkswagens could have decided the wars. Just imagine the northern army bearing down on the capital in those old-fashioned bugs and minibuses.

I started with the books, really enjoyed the show as well up to the last couple of seasons too, yeah. Even season 8 still had great acting, effects, music, all that good stuff aside from the writing. And even then, it was nice to see a couple of scores settled after so long. Haven’t watched the prequel, but I heard it was pretty good.

        • Volkswagens Wars… I’d write the book, but they’d sue me. Curse you industrialisation!!!

I actually didn’t mind season 8 that much, bit of an overreaction online to its issues. It’s part of the online era, fandom seems to lead to mass hyperbole and overanalysing things. At least in my opinion. Innit.

          • I do think the reaction online was too strong, yeah. While I didn’t care for certain parts of the ending at all, it was silly of people to put out a petition for a rewrite and all that stuff. Just move on, you know?

Though this was a very different kind of show, it reminds me of how much people hated the Seinfeld finale, at least from what I remember as a kid at the time — we just didn’t have these mass internet-based fandoms back then like we do now.

            • It’s like the True Gamer Bro sect, there’s a chunk who’ve become very entitled and just demand their expectations are met. They don’t seem to realise how hysterical they come across.

Seinfeld was never big in the UK, for some reason. Friends and Frasier were huge, but Seinfeld never took off. For shame!

              • A long time ago, I had some sympathy for that position, but I’ve gotten better since. People need to take it easy. There’s plenty of room in the game industry for all styles and people of all tastes, no need to get up in arms.

I wonder if Seinfeld was only really huge here in the US or North America. Interesting to hear Frasier took off, though. I liked that show a lot as a kid, even if I didn’t get some of the fancy references they were making at the time.

                • Yep, it’s like with the recent Star Wars film. The fanbase reacted, especially to the second one, like a human rights breach had been committed. It was really embarrassing watching them rage about it.

Frasier was massive here! Seinfeld got slapped with a timeslot at like 11:30pm when everyone was off to bed, but it just never took off. Hey ho!
