MoroniCast Episode #7: The Joys of Juggling (skills for 2022)

Happy New Year, idiots! Congratulations on visiting as, huzzah, it’s our first podcast of 2022!

And we’re here to mansplain to you why you need to start juggling. Hey… SIT QUIETLY AT THE BACK! No sniggering!

To get started, you should study our guide to the history of juggling. But now, hush! Professor Wapojif is here to dispense with some rambling.

Get Juggling For Mental & Physical Wellbeing

Yes, juggling is something we’ve long championed as a great source of fun, entertainment, and mental health boosting excellence.

This is all scientifically proven, by the way. Start juggling to improve:

  • Anxiety.
  • Depression.
  • Stress.
  • Boredom (remember, only boring people get bored).
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Cognitive functioning.
  • Brain development (no matter your age).

There’s a great deal of scientific research into the proof of all the above, as well as people like us telling you it’s all true.

Here’s the TED talk by Dr. Efrat Furst, who explains why it’s all so good for you.

Juggling is also a lot of fun, which is what we’re eager to get across to you.

You know, down beer and eat a Pot Noodle sandwich whilst juggling if you can’t be bothered with the healthy side of it all.

It’s, ultimately, just a fun hobby that’ll add something extra to your daily rountine.

Learn How to Juggle Right Here

Previously, we’ve written a learning to juggle guide. That’s for the basic three ball cascade object manipulation trick.

There are loads of videos of this on YouTube, but we went with Taylor Tries above because she’s got the best juggling explanations we’ve come across. Plus, we dig her groovy vibe.

Her attitude is DO IT if it’s a good thing for you. And it doesn’t matter if you’re not the best, just take your time to learn.

What’s important to remember!? Perseverance. You’ll drop the balls a lot to begin with and it’ll occasionally seem like you’ll never master it.

But after a handful of days, you’ll bag this most excellent new skill.

From there?! Well, we also wrote a guide on how to juggle with three clubs, if you want to step things up a bit.

But we advise you take the initial step of the three ball cascade, then ramp things up as and when you please.

  1. Actually, you made juggling sound like pretty good exercise.
I’ve never gotten anywhere with it, but then again I’ve never really stuck with it.

10 YEARS! Wow! Congrats! Interesting to see what you’ll come up with!
    You have a neat voice.
